When the vehicle skids seriously, the smell of burning of the clutch friction plate can be smelled.

Causes of Automobile Clutch Failure

1. The friction plate of driven plate is excessively worn, which makes the pressure plate move forward and the spring force decreases. → → Replace the friction plate or driven plate assembly of driven plate

2. The automobile clutch is not assembled correctly, causing the pressure of the pressure plate acting on the driven pressure plate to decrease → → Reassemble the clutch carefully as required

3. The compression spring is broken or the spring force drops. → → Replace the spring or check whether the installation position of springs with different colors is correct

4. Improper assembly, clutch pressure plate or clutch cover warped → → Reassemble, correct or polish the warped pressure plate or clutch cover if necessary

5. The driven plate friction plate is smeared with oil → → Check whether the front and rear bearings and splines of the clutch are filled with too much grease. The smeared friction plate should be thoroughly cleaned and dried with gasoline

6. The overheating pressure plate and friction plate are ablated → → Polish the clutch pressure plate or replace the friction plate

7. The master cylinder rod has no clearance → → Readjust

8. The pressure plate is excessively grinded, and the working surface becomes thin → → Check the polished pressure plate
